About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled Low-Voltage Technician to install, service, and support electronic security systems for professional, security-conscious environments. This role is ideal for a technician who takes pride in clean installs, understands the importance of reliability, and enjoys working with modern low-voltage systems in real-world settings.
You’ll work hands-on with systems such as video surveillance, access control, fire alarms, intrusion alarms, and related infrastructure. Projects range from single-site installs to multi-location environments, requiring attention to detail, strong troubleshooting skills, and a professional presence on site.
What You’ll Do
Install, program, test, and maintain low-voltage security systems including video surveillance, access control, fire alarms, intrusion alarms, and monitoring equipment.
Run, terminate, label, and test structured cabling (CAT5e/CAT6, coax, fiber where applicable).
Mount and configure cameras, card readers, control panels, keypads, sensors, and related devices.
Troubleshoot system issues, perform service calls, and ensure systems are operating reliably.
Read and interpret plans, diagrams, and technical documentation.
Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and other technicians to complete work efficiently and safely.
Maintain clean, code-compliant installations that reflect high professional standards.
Communicate clearly with internal teams and on-site contacts regarding system functionality and work progress.
Required Qualifications
Valid Low-Voltage Electrician license as required by the state:
- Oregon: LEA or LEB (required)
- Washington: 06 Limited Energy license (preferred)
Solid experience working with low-voltage security systems or related technologies.
Working knowledge of access control, CCTV/video surveillance, intrusion alarms, and monitoring systems.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic software.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally between job sites.
Ability to work independently while also being a reliable team contributor.
Certifications & Compliance
